How to prepare for a waxing appointment

Simple steps for more comfortable results and happy skin afterwards.

A little preparation makes waxing smoother for you and your skin. Aim for hair that is long enough for the wax to grip — roughly the length of a grain of rice — and exfoliate gently a day or two before, avoiding harsh scrubs on the day itself.

On the day, wear loose clothing where possible and mention any medications or skin changes at the start of your appointment. Aftercare usually includes avoiding heat and friction for a short period; you will always leave with clear guidance tailored to the area treated.
